California Pacific Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse II for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You will be accountable for the assessment, coordination, and delivery of high-acuity nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill patients. This role is central to our team, requiring you to provide holistic, individualized care and foster strong collaborative relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Perform continuous critical care assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Manage advanced life-support and monitoring equipment, and administer complex medications and treatments.
• Collaborate effectively with intensivists, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education and support in a high-stress critical care environment.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices for critical care.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve complex patient care problems.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience. 5 years of ICU experience is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Required Certifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills.
