Alta Bates Medical Center is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse II for our specialized Cardiology EKG department. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, coordination, and delivery of nursing care for patients undergoing noninvasive cardiac procedures. You will deliver holistic, individualized care, focusing on patient safety and education in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and monitor noninvasive cardiac stress tests and other cardiovascular special procedures.
• Provide expert EKG recognition, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry monitoring.
• Deliver direct patient care, including comprehensive assessment, intervention, and evaluation in a cardiology setting.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and the healthcare team to coordinate and prioritize patient care.
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular procedures, conditions, and care plans.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices to ensure an optimal patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of one (1) year of current experience in a cardiology specialty.
• Required experience in Noninvasive Cardiac Stress Testing, EKG recognition, and Telemetry.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
