Staff Physician – Otolaryngology (ENT) - Abu Dhabi

Job Summary

This is a physician position responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Surgical Subspecialties – ENT/Otolaryngology specialty at CCAD. This position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team at CCAD. Physician's practice will have a significant portion dealing with sleep patients. Physician applying is expected to have completed a fellowship in sleep surgery or a significant portion of his/her current practice deals with sleep management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care to patients at CCAD within the Surgical Subspecialties – ENT/Otolaryngology specialty
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury
• Analyze records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients
• Provide specific treatments and/or perform operations to treat patient medical conditions, as appropriate
• Perform surgical procedures and operations as appropriate
• Liaison with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment
• Supply and provide care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner

Experience Requirements

• For Physicians from Tier 1 countries, not less than two (2) years additional experience post qualification
• For Physicians from Tier 2 countries, not less than five (5) years additional experience post qualification
• Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable)
• Should meet the Maintenance of Certification requirements (where applicable)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of health care professionals
• Ability to speak and write in English is required

Education Requirements

• MD, MBBS, MBChB
• Physicians with an accredited American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS) Certification, Specialization Certificate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), Certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC), Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the UK or A primary specialization certificate listed in the PQR 2022 as Tier 1 or Tier 2, followed by a clinical fellowship

• Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff
