The Nurse Practitioner in the Center for Mental Health Eating Disorders Program at Toronto General Hospital provides extended nursing care to optimize patient outcomes, enhance safety, efficiency, and accessibility in the treatment of eating disorders. Collaborating closely with the interprofessional team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and allied health professionals, the Nurse Practitioner delivers comprehensive primary care and mental health services. This role primarily focuses on the outpatient setting, supporting the intake process, but may also involve working in the inpatient unit, performing assessments, diagnosing, prescribing laboratory tests, investigations, and medications as appropriate.
