📋 Full Job Description:

Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant role in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department with a specialized focus on burn injuries and reconstruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage all stages of burn injuries: acute, subacute, and chronic.
• Perform complex surgical interventions such as skin grafting, flap reconstructions, and scar revisions.
• Develop personalized patient treatment plans focusing on long-term recovery and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ICU specialists, physiotherapists, and psychologists for holistic care.
• Lead initiatives to create and implement burn care guidelines and best practices.
• Contribute to academic studies and clinical research in burn treatment and plastic surgery.
• Mentor medical students, residents, and junior surgeons in burn and reconstructive surgery.
• Ensure clinical practices meet DOH and international patient safety standards.

Requirements:

• MD or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
• Board-certified in Plastic Surgery.
• Subspecialty training in burn care or reconstructive surgery.
  -Minimum 3–5 years of Consultant experience in burn-focused plastic surgery.
• Must be Western-trained (USA, UK, Canada, etc.).
• Proven expertise in complex burn reconstruction techniques and scar management.
• Eligible for DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) licensure.
• Strong leadership, educational, and collaborative skills.
