American Hospital Dubai is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse for our Pediatric Urgent Care unit. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, age-specific, and patient-centered care. You will be responsible for supporting various medical procedures, conducting patient assessments, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care for our pediatric patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform age-specific patient assessments, including health history interviews and physical assessments for pediatric patients.
• Assist with a wide range of pediatric procedures, including aerosol treatments, Bili Checks, enteral feeding tube insertions, and vaccine administration.
• Aid in point-of-care testing (e.g., Influenza, Rapid Strep) and specimen collection (e.g., blood cultures, nasopharyngeal swabs).
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to plan, coordinate, and prioritize patient care based on individual needs.
• Document all relevant data accurately in the medical record according to hospital standards.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all JCIA, safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and maintain clinical and professional competency through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (minimum 3-year full-time course duration).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in a Pediatrics nursing role.
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in your home country and/or country of last employment.
• A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; BCLS is essential.
• Strong skills in assessing the physical and psychological needs of patients and families.
• Ability to render care based on the age, appropriateness, and developmental needs of pediatric patients.
