Specialist Pediatrician – Neonatology | Abu Dhabi

Royal Womens Hospital, Abu Dhabi is hiring a Specialist Pediatrician (Neonatology) to deliver safe, ethical, and high‑quality neonatal care. You’ll manage inpatient newborns, attend deliveries/CS, provide first on‑call cover, uphold governance standards, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive, ethical clinical services; maintain accurate medical records
Monitor/manage clinical risks; ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality standards
Assess and reassess patients; perform general/special neonatal examinations
Order/interpret labs and imaging; diagnose; prescribe treatment, nursing, dietary, and preventive care
Serve as first on‑call for Neonatology; provide consults to Pediatric Surgery and OB/Gyn for in/outpatients
Provide onsite inpatient newborn care; attend deliveries/CS per roster (day/night shifts)
Manage neonatal emergencies; participate in risk management and adverse event reviews
Maintain competence through CPD; carry out other duties within neonatal scope
Qualifications:

3–5 years’ post‑qualification experience at Specialist level
Experience in a Level 3 NICU
Basic medical degree plus specialty qualification/education (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
Certification/registration in a specialty recognized by the UAE authority
Active life support certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
