NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist (UAE National) to join our team. The successful candidate will participate in the diagnosis and therapy of psychiatric illnesses, serving as a professional assistant to Psychiatrists. You will provide essential care to inpatients and outpatients with mental or psychological illnesses and engage in preventive care as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric interviews and collect data for diagnostic purposes.
• Provide various psychotherapies, including individual, group, and family therapies, as well as counseling for couples.
• Perform psychometric testing for diagnosis and evaluation of therapy.
• Engage in research and educational activities to improve methods for managing emotionally disturbed patients.
• Provide advice to community organizations and participate in related psychological and welfare activities.
• Adhere to HAAD regulations and Joint Commission International (JCI) norms in all patient interactions.
• Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, use appropriate PPE, and participate in safety training and drills.
• Be available for after-hours or weekend calls for specific cases or emergencies as required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized college or university.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of clinical psychology.
• Current licensure in country of origin and a HAAD/DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of intelligence, personality, and other psychological tests.
• Excellent command of oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
