American Hospital Dubai is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Pediatric Ward. In this role, you will provide direct, age-specific care for our youngest patients. You will be responsible for the complete nursing process, from assessment and diagnosis to planning and intervention, managing both acute and chronic cases while providing essential education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, age-specific patient assessments using problem-focused techniques suitable for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and revise patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education by assessing learning needs, developing a teaching plan, and evaluating its effectiveness.
• Safely handle and administer medications, including narcotics and controlled drugs, according to hospital policies.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for pediatric patients, recognizing subtle cues to anticipate potential problems.
• Ensure all patient care is documented accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital and JCIA standards.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and maintain professional competency in pediatric nursing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (minimum 3-year full-time course duration).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in a Pediatric Ward.
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in your home country and/or country of last employment.
• A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong skills in assessing the physical and psychological needs of pediatric patients and their families.
• Ability to render care based on age, appropriateness, and the developmental needs of children.
