NMC Royal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will be responsible for providing specialized, high-acuity care to our most vulnerable patients. This vital role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care for premature and critically ill newborns, while providing crucial support to their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform systematic and continuous assessments of critically ill and premature newborns.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments, and assist with complex medical procedures specific to the NICU.
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, incubators, and monitoring systems.
• Provide education and emotional support to families, involving them in the care of their newborn.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment, strictly adhering to infection control protocols.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Must hold an appropriate license to practice as a Registered Nurse from the relevant UAE health authority (DOH/DHA).
• Must hold a valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card. NRP and/or PALS is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. NICU experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Arabic is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an inter-professional team.
