On behalf of our client, a global, forward-thinking company specializing in innovative pharmaceutical molecules, we are seeking a strategic Head of Business Development. This impactful leadership role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities for licensing and partnerships, building high-level relationships, and driving the commercialization strategy for the company's proprietary assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities related to pharmaceutical molecules for licensing and exclusive partnerships.
• Build and maintain high-level relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and research institutions.
• Act as the primary commercial liaison with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to align business goals and development timelines.
• Lead and negotiate licensing agreements, strategic alliances, and joint ventures.
• Translate technical and scientific insights from the R&D team into compelling commercial value propositions.
• Analyze industry trends and competitive intelligence to refine the go-to-market strategy.
• Represent the company at international pharmaceutical and biotech conferences and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Life Science field (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology). An MBA is a plus.
• Proven track record (5+ years) in business development or licensing within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Strong experience interacting and negotiating with CROs.
• In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical development processes, regulatory pathways, and IP strategy.
• Excellent negotiation, deal structuring, and contract management skills.
• Solid network within the pharma, biotech, and/or health-tech ecosystems.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages (especially Chinese, Arabic, or German) are a plus.
