Description
Seeking a Consultant Urology specialist in Abu Dhabi to deliver comprehensive urologic care across outpatient and inpatient settings. You will perform major and minor procedures, manage pre‑ and post‑operative care, take after‑hours responsibility, and provide expert consultation on complex cases within your competence, while adhering to departmental bylaws and JCI standards.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive OPD/IPD urological care, including diagnostics, operative management, and post‑operative follow‑up
Perform major and minor urologic procedures within scope and competence
Conduct daily rounds; assume after‑hours/on‑call responsibility for surgical cases
Consult and refer to other specialists for cases beyond experience or scope
Collaborate with anesthetists on anesthesia selection
Maintain complete, accurate clinical records and documentation
Participate in in‑service education (lectures, conferences, rounds)
Safeguard patient confidentiality and handle sensitive administrative matters appropriately
Demonstrate dependability and professional leadership aligned with organizational policies
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited school, 1‑year internship, and 4‑year urology residency
Board certification by the American Board of Urology or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years’ practice as a urologist
Current licensure in country of origin and DOH Abu Dhabi license to practice as a Specialist in Urology
Excellent English communication; Arabic desirable
Mature clinical judgment, leadership, and adherence to Medical Department policies; strong interpersonal skills
