Consultant Endocrinologist – University Hospital Sharjah (UAE)

🩺 Position Summary

• Serve as a clinical specialist in endocrinology at an advanced hospital-level setting.
• Deliver evidence-based care while maintaining international clinical standards.
• Assist in hospital policy implementation, quality improvements, and accreditation goals.

🔍 Main Duties

• Admit patients and complete documentation (history, exam, care plan).
• Prescribe and manage treatments and medications.
• Order and interpret laboratory and imaging results.
• Conduct daily ward rounds and participate in consultant rounds.
• Provide follow-up for inpatients and outpatients.
• Advise on surgical/interventional procedures related to endocrinology.
• Liaise with clinical/non-clinical teams for integrated care.
• Maintain accurate, updated patient records.
• Train, mentor, and support junior medical staff.
• Participate in emergency and specialty consultations on-call.
• Serve on medical committees and contribute to research or academic activities.
• Follow and implement JCI standards, clinical guidelines, and hospital policies.

✅ Position Requirements / Qualifications

📌 Required

• American Board Certification or equivalent according to MOH table of equivalency.
• 5+ years of post-specialization experience in an accredited acute care institution.
• Valid UAE MOH license (or eligibility to obtain it).

✔️ Desirable

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification
